I tried the same question a few weeks back... hopefully you get more answers.
I'm relocating there in the next month or so (heading there Sunday-Wednesday to look around). If you transfer out there, we can at least have a 2 person meet.

You can' leave your car baking out in the sun all day sealed up like a ziplock baggie
![]() If you don't leave your sunroof cracked open a bit, the rising interior temp will cause a pressure build-up and a window could bust.

Not saying it will happen... I've not lived in Arizona for almost 25 years, and have only been there once in that time.

okay i live in Boston, but my brother lives in Phoenix, so I've been there about 4 times now and spent about a week at a time. I've been all over the state and I'm pretty familiar with the area now.
i'm not sure what kind of information you're looking for, but as far as my likes/dislikes, here they are. likes: -Arizona is a BEAUTIFUL scenic state, with places like Sedona and Grand Canyon. -desert roads are like no other in the country -the roads in Phoenix are set up in a grid (perfect squares) so it's really easy to get around -weather is great, its hot but its dry heat so its bareable. -the Phx to LV drive is unbelievably fun. dislikes: -the city of Phoenix has a pretty terrible night life, especially if you're not down with the college student scene. Bars are usually empty and only a few good ones. -drivers are some of the most terrible i've ever seen, not surprising since 1 out of 2 people in AZ don't have insurance. -The city is just too small with not alot to do. Sight seeing is fun for a while but there's not alot to do in the urban areas. its not a bustling busy city by any means. -not trying to sound racist, but the amount of illegal immigrants in the surrounding area is enough to piss some people off. |

Phoenix has shitty nightlife, Scottsdale, however, does not. Tempe is for college kids, Scottsdale is some SICK partying, I'm suprised the poster above me said that...

Tucson...The U of A!
Hello Greeney. I currently live in Tucson also. I've been here since the summer of 2002. At first I hated it (some things I still hate) but overall its grown on me a little. I actually live outside the city now in a small community called Sahuarita. It's about a 20-25 minute drive into the city but for me more than worth it. Like my other fellow Tucsonian, I would suggest coming out again and checking things out for yourself as this place is definitely not for everyone. The weather is one thing but the social, or lackthereof, atmoshere is not everyones speed. I usually head up to Scottsdale/Tempe area for some real nightlife fun...see another member's comments on that here. But if you need some more specifics on the area shoot me a mail I'd be glad to chat more about it. Cheers mate! -Ruben
