Fireworks - Past and present

So post up pics you've taken before and pics from this coming July 4th. Settings info would be helpful, but not necessary.

This was last April in San Diego. Panasonic DMC-FZ18 at 71mm F6.3 ISO 100 3.2sec.

would love to see some close-up wide-angle slow shutter shots of fireworks.

nothing spectacular:

All from 2006. First and for some reason last time I've taken pics of fireworks.... Should try and change that this year.

This is 4 firework pics in one.

Same process only one pic.

Thanks!

All pics are at 2.5s f/8 iso 100. Canon 30d with 16-35 @ 16mm. (cropped though)

This was the original pic used to make that last image.

Don't want to make a mockery...but the absolute only pictures I have, were taken with the Droid. Guess I'll need to fix that this year.

I like that top one, 3 different shots superimposed vs that cluster. That clusters exposure came out really nice though, I usually get them blown out.
My spot is picked out for tonight.....

Cool pics guys.

Love that you can see other fireworks in the back ground TL!

Rain is in the forecast and i just had out of town company leave today, so no go for fireworks tonight... Better luck in 6 months hopefully!

I'm finding that without some foreground reference, the fireworks really look weird and could be anything. Some look more like plant life. We were quite far from the action and had a fence and some corn between us. Very dark night, too. I was wishing for something more in the foreground, but this is what I had to work with.

My first attempt. I was bummed out because I thought I'd have a clear view of the bay from my balcony, but they were launched a little too far to the left. Plus, my tripod can't support my 70-200

Figured I'd share, though.

It was a good show and I was able to shoot with a friend and the moon.
