Earthquake in D.C

Im 10 miles from DC, in Maryland.

yup...I'm in Va Beach sitting in my office...and I felt the building start to sway. I thought it was just really windy until I realized the foundation was moving too....causing my chair to go side to side. that was really weird.

I had just got home and sat down to browse some E90post and shit just started rocking, I grabbed my3 year old daughter and ran outside my Grill was moving on the sidewalk, I live on the Potomac river and I kept staring at the river wondering if it was going to come up at us, then I thought we under attack.

Well the reason I ask is because the table has a row called "Depth" and in that row, it states 1km.
It's the location uncertainty that confuses me, but I think all that's saying is that it could be shallower or up to 7.4km deeper than the 1km estimate. Or am I just bad at reading comprehension today? I think I agree with you here. Anywhere from the surface to 8.4km down, they don't know exactly. |
