no solicitation sign on front door

i'm fed up with the amount of doorbell ringing and crap posted on my door, especially being that i travel a lot and the stuff tends to pile up on my door when i'm gone. do i have any recourse if i post a no solicitation sign on my door to whomever violates that notice? here's the sign i made:

Each state has different laws regarding whether signage carries any authhority. But, IANAL.

E.g., in Texas... those 30.06 signs regarding concealed carry do hold weight (affectionately called ".30-06 signs" by some).

In Pennsylvania, those kinda signs don't carry any legal weight.

YMMV. Good luck! I too come home every few months to a building pile of crap that lets the whole world know I'm not around.

lol even the 30.06 signs are rarely followed in places that aren't bars or government buildings.

yeah the sign usually do not carry any weight but most states have trespassing laws and you can easily call the police and swear out a warrant against the person for trespassing on your property. However it tends to be more of hassle for you then the person since they are long gone before the police every show up at you place.
