Got attacked by a dog yesterday...

And it was AWESOME!

Actually it wasn't.

I was working. I pull into the guys driveway to serve him court documents. After I got out of the car I realized there were 2 american bulldogs that looked older. Im a dog person and all the years I've done this I've never been attacked. Well they start walking towards me. No barking, no growling, nothing. They were actually doing the happy dog head to tail body wiggle. So I stand next to the car and yell Hello so the person in the house knows I'm there.

I don't see these dogs as a threat and are acting fine. After they happy walk about 15-20 yards to me and are about 2 feet away they go INSANE. The one dog wasn't chained and that one went leaping towards my face and made contact. As I knocked that dog away the other dog was chained and I started back peddling and the dog ran out of its lead. At this point the owner comes walking from behind the house. He see me and starts actually yelling at me for being at his house haha.

EMS/Police ended up coming. Had to go to the hospital and got 4 stitches total, 2 on my face just below the left side of my lips and 2 more on my neck along with other scratches that werent deep enough to stitch.

It was pretty insane. I'm a dog person and been around dogs every day of my life and that was a first. It def could have been a lot worse. If the dogs were younger or the other wasnt leashed to stop it. Who knows.

I'm lucky thats for sure.

haha yeah. As he was yelling at me for being there and as I was bleeding I threw the docs at him. Told him I worked for a law firm and they were court docs. He started to shut up.

I guess he got fined and has a court date. The dog may be put down. Ohio is a no tolerance state regarding dog attacks.

Wow that sucks could have been way worse.

I was brain dead one day last week got out of the car and did not even notice the car next to me had a dog in it. I walk in a fast food place get a sandwich and walkout again brain dead and stand halfway between my car and the other and all of a sudden I feel a very wet nose on my elbow. Lucky for me the Rotty was very friendly, basically a 100+lb bundle of slobber. I now pay attention.

Haha, same thing happened to me. There's was a huge mastiff inside an suv and I knelt down to tie my sneakers and when I stood back up I was face to face with this huge mastiff, he barked but nothing else, just gave me a good scare.

Crazy. You were attacked on his property when he wasn't there so the dog was technically doing what it was supposed to. Kind of sucks that it will have to be put down because of that.

Glad it didn't turn out too bad for you though.
