You love to beat Mustang owners out on the highway, today one of the new mustangs was hot rodding around with his rediculous exhaust notes and rumbling engine making more noise than anything, and of coarse he saw my wheels and fought thru traffic so we would be red lighted together, so i decide to give him a run for his money flip my DCT off and as the light turns green im off and he is fighting for traction and from the sound of it (i was about a car ahead by the end of 2nd and the turbos taking me farther faster) he seemed to miss 3rd (muahahaha) i guess he was so ashamed of being beat by a 4 door that he just let other traffic pass him by so i didnt see him at the next light but i did get a thumbs up from a spectator

I'm not one to street race usually, but when I was in my (modded) 335i once, this guy in a GT pulled up next to me with his gf and shouts over, "You ready to go buddy?" and started laughing. Needless to say I had the last laugh as I had the same turnout as you.

The new mustangs have the potential to smoke a 335 that's not modded pretty heavily.. Definitely doable though.

Older model mustangs are pretty slow really. It's a good feeling to knock em down a few notches from time to time.

I am not going to lie, about 2 months back this old guy in a brand new 5.0 fought through traffic to catch me. I saw him back there and slowed up for him and had DTC off already so I could have a little fun. This guy looked like the type of guy that has had mustangs for his whole life, not to mention he also had his wife in the car.

So he gets next to me and gives me a little nod like "come on lets see what your little bimmer has" type of thing. So I nodded back and he went, from 2nd at about 30 til I shifted into 4th at about 90 I'd say. I went from him getting a half a car head start to about 2 car lengths in front of him. His face was priceless when I spun into 3rd as I passed him. Come up to the next red light and he stayed back and wouldn't pull up next to me, lets just say he looked pretty pissed, made my day.

They really can't stand it. I had one try to flyby me on an exit ramp after he fought traffic to get even. When his front bumper was at my rear I buried it, he took a car length (license plate was NYTRIDR lol) then I was gone. Slowed back down and he then rode my ass for about a mile to show me how tough he is GRRR MUSTANG!!! Wouldn't try passing though.

i have YET to have one mess with me. not sure how i would fair with a new 5.0 though... only having rev3 procede and downpipes... PWM kit will be in next week though.

i did have a guy in a regular C5 vette try to play once. it didnt fair well for him at ALL

I never raced a Mustang. My car doesn't attract those but I have had my fair share of races with other cars.

One time, I was on the highway heading to school. I was just cruising, doing 75 in the left lane. All of a sudden, this Acura TL Type S appears in the right lane. He's trying to get me to run with him but I was just ignoring him. He kept flooring it and then slowing down. I notice that he had temporary tags. The car was only 3 days old. So I start to mess with him a little bit. When I rev matched to third gear, he hit it so he got a little jump. But that lead didn't last too long haha. I shut it down at about 130, slowed down and got next to him. He was PISSED. It must suck to get your ass whooped when you only had your car for three days. Lmao

One time, a mustang pulled up next to me at a light and the driver nodded at me. So I nodded back. He took off like a fucking rocket, and I sat there for like three seconds, thinking "man I know I could beat him, but I'm a responsible adult and I really don't want to have to hire a lawyer to defend a street racing or reckless endangerment charge.", so I just went back to driving as I normally do after he got like a good quarter mile ahead of me.

Then I went home and paid my bills. Shit was so cash, yo.

Honestly, no one has ever attempted to race me outside of my group of car buddies.

The only time I see Mustangs and Vettes are when they're racing each other.

I realized most of the people who have posted stories here were in slightly modded 335s or the N54/55-like.

lol, in my twenties i could never back away from a race, now its kinda of funny cuz guys will pull up beside me revving their engines and sheit and i will completely ignore them...not that i could beat anyone with my 325 but i'm assuming most don't know its a 325 since i removed the emblem
