Question about Ebay

Hi I am selling a watch on Ebay, this buyer msged me and wants to buy it at a price and I am happy with that price. How should this process work? Should I end the listing? If I do, will there be a BIN option after I end the listing? Should I just cancel the auction and deal with him privately using paypal so I can avoid the Ebay fee? Thanks!

End the listing and ask him to PayPal you the money to your PayPal address. Then just print a label for PayPal insure it and forget it.

If the buyer is more comfortable going through ebay, then revise your listing to accept "best offers". Tell the potential buyer to enter your agreed-to price, and then accept it. This will let you and the buyer go through ebay to close the sale. But of course going this route you will have to pay the closing fees on ebay.

I personally would tell him to bid the amount he is willing to pay and see if he wins, chances are you will have someone that wants it just as bad which means they fight over it and you get more money. On top of that you will be even more protected thru ebay. Waiting it out is a win win the way I see it.

If he files a claim with Paypal, you are fucked. Paypal sides with the buyer 90% of the time.

for future references dont do this its the main way people scam on ebay. All you have to do is either end the listing and post a new one, send him an invoice for the desired price, or just let him bid on it and wait it out you may end up getting more then he was willing to give.
