Put a deposit on a Corvette today!
After failing to make a deal on 2 other local low mile cars (8k mile 2007 3LT & 9k mile 2007 3LT) I was pretty frustrated. The 9k mile place was at $31,600 and I was at $31k. Wasn't a color I really wanted anyway so I passed. The 8k mile one was black. Not my first choice, but at least it was on my list. Listed @ $32,979. Only came down to $32,500 after telling me $32k on Saturday. Ok, bye.
Found a local 2006 3LT w/nav & 25k miles. Looked at it & drove it today & put a deposit on it. They will be PA inspecting it & checking a couple things on it for me. I should be taking delivery early next week at the latest. I've had some crap luck w/trying to buy cars lately so I hope this one pans out. I already have a huge list of mods I wish to do. Congrats. The car should keep you grinning for years to come. Mines an 06 that I bought new. Has has some mods to bump up the bhp to a bit over 600. The C6 is a great sports car.

Nice, care to share your mod list? I'm just after 450 WHP to get me mid 11s or so. If I keep it long enough, maybe an A&A blower kit after that.

Mine has LG Pro longtubes(with cats) and a Vortech T-trim centri with a safe Vette Drs tune(525rwhp). Soon Im going to add meth and a simple pulley swap to get about 700bhp. The LSX engines can handle a lot of power. Also have Z06 brakes, CCW wheels with Z06 tires(325/275) and NPP exhaust. Also pulled the Bose and added a Kenwood DD HU and JL speakers, amps.
To get to 450rwhp with the LS2(N/A) you'll need a cam, long tubes and a good tune. If you strap on a blower, 450+ is a piece of cake to hit with no other mods. Last edited by NYC6; 03-22-2012 at 01:00 PM.. |

Off topic but what Corvette forum would you recommend for useful tuning information, like 1addicts/e90post?
I have looked around briefly in corvetteforum and corvette-forum and they both suck. So terribly organized that I cannot even navigate my way through them, low traffic and very little useful information. Anyway, I am interested in the C7 and might want to trade my 135i for it so I just want to start researching now. Thanks! |

Looking for useful 'tuning information' yet the C7 isnt even out yet and no one outside GM knows what the powerplant will be.
TCF is one of the busiest auto sites on the web. Many, many more than this site. Quite easy to navigate also. Dont understand all your issues at all. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/index.php? |

Plans are some appearance stuff, full exhaust, cam & later on a converter. Rain all weekend so she's sitting in the garage. I am going to do a photoshoot after I get the windows tinted. |

You can still learn a lot about the F30 by researching the E90 even if they are not the same. |
