Who Says There's Never a BMW Around When a Cop Needs One?
http://www.laweekly.com/2012-03-22/n...end-nightmare/
I love this story. Nutshell version: 323 owner driving around LA with the top down pulls up next to motorcycle cop at light. Light turns green, 323 owner begins to drive normally forward. Cop swoops in behind him and turns on the siren. 323 owner stops suddenly in confusion. Cop ends up in the back seat. Bystander shoots this photo (note boots sticking up over the side): Turns out the cop is some kind of workers-comp/disability swindler. But what happened to this 323 owner is not funny at all. He does seem to be getting the last word, though.

Kodak moment.
All charges were dropped against the BMW driver and instead the questionable Cop's past was dug up and I believe he's facing some serious charges now.

The pics were a nice bonus. The E36 pretty much set the stage (at least visually) for the modern 3er. 20 years later they still look quite modern, and the convertibles especially look pretty much like current 1er and 3er converts, especially with the top down.
