Garage Flooring Solutions
Hey I am wondering if anyone here in a norther climate can give me some tips on what to use to cover my garage floor. I was looking at U Coat It as well as product by Rustoleum and anther paint brands.
What I am worried about is the salt in the winter. I have read that the products like Rustoleum from Home Depot can't stand up to the salt and slush. Has anyone here dealt with this and do you have any tips? Thanks. |

I can tell you my that we have the epoxy on our garage floor at my parents house and my buddy has it and whenever you spill any kind of brake fluid, gas, solvent etc its not good. You should consider acid staining the concrete. I think thats what I am going to do in my garage. Its almost impossible to mess up

I was also thinking about using that PVC garage tile. It would probably last and it just snaps together, then downside is that it is expensive and stuff can get underneath it and sit on the garage floor.
As for the epoxy stuff, aren't there tons of commercial garages using that stuff to keep the cloors looking at all shiny? I imagine they must get drips and leaks here and there but perhaps they jsut clean it up right away. What I thought was gogint o be a quick, cheap and easy job is becoming a real pain in the arse. |
