some dumbass in a brand new corvette in front of me did something similar, while trying to show off making a left turn. but instead of going into the correct lane, he collided head-on with a Corolla waiting at the red light to go into the opposite direction of where corvette was supposed to go.

I was behind a Pcar a couple of weeks ago, he pulled out in front of someone, panicked and put it right into the curb, F'd up the right front wheel and suspension. Just couldn't wait his turn.
