I have had a couple friends who tried it. And ended up worse than when they started. Most of them take 10+ sessions which I heard can only be done once a month (to give the previous lazer burn time to heal). The one part that I keep hearing consistantly is the pain endured through this process. I'd rather just get a coverup

only way to completely remove it to do skin grafts. Take a piece of skin from your thigh and graft it on the tattoo'ed part...

I know people that have. it works but it takes a very long time and lots and lots of sessions. It hurts 20x as bad as the tattoo did
if possible, cover up is the way to go |

Is that that tat in your avatar? If so, I dont think that will remove very well.
I know ink has changed but a friend of mine had a tat removed from about 15 years ago. Didnt remove very well, then did a skin graft and it looks like sh*t. Should have just kept the tat. |

I hear results can vary. If it's a quality tattoo with the ink at one depth, and if it's all black ink, and your skin is fairly light, it can work pretty well.
It doesn't burn the tattoo off. The wavelength of the light is supposed to pass through the light colored skin and get absorbed by the ink particles. It blasts them into smaller size particles, and the bodies immune system can carry them away. The ink particles are pretty big though, which is why it takes so many treatments. Go somewhere good. If they're leaving big scars and stuff, they're doing it wrong. I've never seen it done, but I don't imagine seeing smoke is a good sign. So lets see the tat, sara. |

I don't know really what it looks like to get one removed but I do know a girl that is about to get one removed from her arm...could tell ya how it looks from hers...my best guess would just find something to cover it. If it's on your ass then no one is really looking at it...so take ur time on deciding the one you actually want to cover up the old one.
Good luck! Josh
