nope. someone said it's only a 1xx pounds lighter than 335. in one of the hundreds of 1 thread. i think it was 34xx.
edit. tried looking for it but can't find it. idk who said it on what thread. so yeah. take it for what it's worth. i guess we'll find out for sure when the official specs are released. |

oh man. i cant wait for that. due to the fact that i will not be in the financial situation to get a 335, i can still enjoy that beautiful twin turbo engine. i think this thing is gonna sell.

Sports Suspension includes 6-piston fixed calipers front brakes and 2-piston fixed calipers rear brakes. AWESOME!!!
Standard 60/40 split seats, standard Aero kit...Logic7 does not come standard. hehehe I wonder if the the quote 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds is for the auto or the 6MT. I guess it's MT cus that's what they usually post. The stated time is .1 second quicker than the 335i. Based on that the 135's 0-60 street time migh just hit 4.6 seconds (since it's lighter it will pick up speed faster). Bottom line: THIS IS GONNA BE ONE SWEET ASS CAR!!! |

Holy Shit... 6 piston calipers, lighter weight, better tires, better suspension, remapped throttle response. It's like BMW has been reading my posts on here and basing the 135i on what I think the 335i should have been. I think BMW may have won me over again. Boy would I be pissed if I had bought a 335i. This thing is going to rip the e92 apart at everything but storage capacity. I don't even care if they leave the automatic seat belt feeder things off it. It's amazing that they would put 6 piston calipers on this lighter car when the big 335i only has single piston floating calipers. They really could have called this thing an M2/M1 if they wanted to. Provided the "performance tires" aren't run flats I don't see what this car is missing

still haven't warmed up to the looks. the rear just seems like it could've been done a lot better. wonder where they'll stick the amber reflector.
anyway, i'm looking forward to seeing this car. it's always nice to see the car in person to get a better perspective. i can totally see this will be a hot seller for bmw if priced right.

I'm guessing the amber reflector will be placed on the fender along the wheel well as they are on the 3-series coupes. And it definitely looks better in person!

i too think the car looks amazing. i was almost decided to get the z4 coupe but i may wait for this little guy. plus, hopefully i'll save 10 grand or so too. i'm not quite ready for an M car and i really want that twin-turbo beast engine which isn't coming to a Z4 anytime soon.
i'm really excited about this...

I think this car is awesome... I'd buy one.
Is there space on e90post for the 1er (E87)? I know the E90 and the E87 share some components/architecture...

Bammo! I'm in! Sorry 335i, onto SwapLease.com!
I reeeaaalllyyyy wanted the M3. But $25k-$35k more?
Nah! Don't fret if you have a 335i (lease.) Put it on the block at one of the lease sites and you'll get rid of it quick. My lease will be up right about release date for the I35i. Me wants! That's why I NEVER go more than 24 months. Proceed this bonzo and you have a great car with plenty of money for another vehicle for other needs. What a wife buster! "But dear, we can have a sports car AND a family car!" Supposed to be around $28k for the 135i. Love life! She'll finally get on her knees for something useful other than to see if you've tracked mud into the house. |
