- valet cars
- find another restaurant - work construction during the summer... it's hard work, but good money and usually cash - get a job barbacking at a nightclub/bar (good money, and you work up to a bartender)

MR. T. sorry had to...How about Costco? They pay pretty well there last time I heard and you could probably get some pretty sweet discounts on Auto Insurance and Tires! |

at 17, you have many options for part time but the pay is aint as nice when you grad from college. Everyone has to go thru these sort of phases.

Landscape construction/installation. Open the phone book and start calling. Lots of turnover in those companies (hard work). Retaining walls, driveways, new lawns/planting beds. Enjoy working outside while you're young. It's also a good experience to work with men in their 30's and 40's who do the same thing as you - great learning experience (stay in school).

You realize he's 17? Most Valet places will not employ someone under 21 (I've done this), same with construction, and definitely a nightclub/bar. How can you work at a nightclub/bar when you aren't even old enough to get in.

There's a world of difference between 17 and 18. That's why I said "old enough to get in."

Basically everywhere in S.FL is 21+ to get in but you can work there at 18.
For a 17yr old, seems like restaurants and retail is the majority of the work.
