A poll would've been nice.

That said, I carry concealed despite the fact that I'm allowed to OC in my state.

I really don't see the point of open carrying.

Here are a few of the reasons why I choose not to OC: 1) You lose the element of surprise; 2) You draw unnecessary attention to yourself (i.e., you scare the "sheeple" who know nothing about gun laws); 3) You expose yourself to potential weapon retention problems (e.g., a threat sees your pistol prominently displayed on the hip and disarms you from behind).

I suppose a few advantages of OC are: 1) Comfort; 2) Quicker draw stroke.

Why do you OC, OP?

Neither, Commiefornia frowns upon both.

I only OC when i am dressed nice. There is no way i would dress like a slob and OC.

Im a small guy and CC is a bit difficult unless of course i had a LCP or something like that.

Keep in mind that a proper belt and holster go a very long way in concealing the largest of pistol frames on the smallest of human beings. You're only as good as your gear!

CC, in my liberal county, drawing any more attention to myself isn't worth it.

+1. I had my full size 1911 CC last night. That is not an easy task compared to even my G19.

I always CC, I do not like the extra attention OC brings. Only time I would do that is if I was not going to drink for Halloween and dressed up as a cowboy...

FL doesn't allow open carry unless you are engaged in, or going directly to and from, lawful target shooting, hunting, fishing, and camping expeditions. Those would be the only times I would opt for open carry anyway, due to the reasons ybbiz34 cited.

I carry concealed, everywhere I go. You never know when or where a situation will arise where you'll wish you were armed; if you did, you wouldn't be there.

CT is a CC only state as well. My piece is too large to conceal unless it's the dead of winter so it stays tucked away in a safe.
