Thanks for sharing the video, OP.
This brought back memory lane for me. While living in Germany, my parents bought a used German spec 1977 BMW 316. I learned to drive in that car. The color? Yep, the same green as in the video! I have fond memories of that car. I ran that car into the ground, lol. In 1982, my parents bought a brand new left over 1981 German spec BMW 320, in the beautiful metallic brown color, with tan cloth interior. It was a basic car with the steel wheels, but that car was so refined compared to our old '77 316. I remember seeing a few BMW 323i's in Germany, thinking that car was the cats meow. It was so cool with the four headlights, and dual exhausts, one on each corner. What a car, back in the day. In its day, it was one of the fastest cars on the road, no kidding! Technology has come a long way... |

The first BMW I owned that made me wet my pants was a 320i. Four more BMWs (325i, 525i, 740i sport and M3) later, I'm still having wet dreams in my new M3. It's been a blast.

Awesome. My parents bought a special order silver with navy interior 320i as their first car. They did a euro delivery pickup in 1980. Looking back now, they were so damn cool!

They should still offer blue interiors (outside of Individual)!

I was just as surprised about the Euro Delivery. They picked it up in Munich and drove to the Adriatic Coast for the summer. My parents have an entire album dedicated to picking up the car. Check out my old man (23 years old at the time) digging his new ride in Germany.

My family was a VW and then MB family I, however, had an E30 M3 poster on my bedroom wall in the 80's. I just love the shape of those 70's/80's bimmers with the long, sleek bodies and shark noses.

My Mother's brother had a new black VW GTI at the same time. My father and uncle would drive up to Greenwich, Conneticut via Sawmill Pkwy every sunday morning, trying to out drive eachother (the stories!). It's so obvious to me now how I fell in love with cars!
