Massive Honda Civic Crash @ Nurburgring

Lots of accidents this weekend but this was perhaps the worst. Plainly, TF days scare the crap out of me and I'd never take my own car; the misfortunes of others cement that feeling.

VTEC kicked in...poor guy none the less.

Apparently the car was fitted with an FIA full roll cage so the guy was ok.

Wow, that was a pretty nasty crash. Glad he was ok.

The first time I went to the Nürburgring I took my own car. When I arrived the track was closed for a bit due to a crash. I remember seeing paramedics and a flatbed leaving the track. Kind of intimidating when it's your first time there. Probably had something to do, in part anyway, with my terribly slow lap times, lol.

I saw a few accidents the day I was there (Z06, GT-R (R33 and R35), E36 M3), but nothing that bad.

There are a ton of really fast sections on the track and there is NO runoff at all! If you lose it, you hit the guardrail.

Luckily, I was there on a slow day and did 9 laps without incident in a Renault Sport Clio Cup rented at RSR.
