Porsche 918 Spyder Prototype in San Diego

Hi Guys, I was on my way to grab the kid's beach ball and towels at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas when out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a Carrera GT. Then I stared a little longer and there before me was a 918 Sypder in the flesh. Wonder if they brought it down here for Comicon?

I guess it's the angle but it looks smaller than a Carrera GT, despite being an inch longer. Looks almost as good as it too.
