AAPL or VMW

If you had $10,000 laying around, which would you buy? Apple or VMWare?

Yeah, as of 14 August. It's the hottest stock right now.

Apple it is has price target of $210 and the market will drive it up there as long as apple does not miss on anything. It has hit every target that has been set for it in the last 2 yrs, but it is the market driving it up because they doing well right now.

But you can alway find a stock that is much cheaper and make more money faster. Rule of thumb, it a lot easy for a stock that is $10 with good products and fundamentals to double in value than a similar company who's stock is $100.

I already own Apple when it was cheap so I probably look at something else at this time.

gee with VMW having a P/E of 100 I would watch this stock very closely, it is another one of those hype stocks and as soon as the market makes a correction goes tumbling down. Just like apple did in July, it went from 146 to 111 in no time. But apple is backed with some real hardware products

Well I bought $5000 worth of Apple back when it was at $70 per share. I was curious what peoples opinions were on the rise of VMW. There are many on the forum that are brilliant when it comes to stuff like this I'm sure. Just want to learn more, thats all.

ok if your a really a risk taker and do not mind if you loose the money here is a biotech stock that might have some promise, they developed a vaccine for smallpox, and the US government is an obvious customer once they complete more of their testing. Last spring they use the drug on a kid who came down with smallpox and it cured it with no side effects

Check it out if you dare - SIGA
