Hi Folks,

Just purchased my first BMW motorcar (well - actually ordered it two weeks ago). Researched the daylights out of it and went with a 335i Steptronic in Monaco Metallic with Cream Dakota leather.

Fully loaded, well almost - passed on the Active Steering, Active Cruise Control and the Cold Weather Package (heck - I live on the Pacific coast).

Always was into cars but mostly get my real thrills on motorbikes - own quite a few. But when my late model Accord EX-L6 coupe got folded-up, I went looking for a replacement - and I think I made a good choice. Ripped this photo from the Gallery - now my computer desktop until delivery:

Will probably ditch the run-flats after some hard abuse (skid pad, braking tests and slalom at a huge deserted parking lot nearby. Not into track days or autocross really, raced bikes in both the AMA and AFM in my younger daze. Now on the backside of fifty, I gave it up - just never did have the skill to stand on the podium.

Test-drove a similar model (wrong color and missing options) - but it flat flew. On cold or rainy months, I'll put the bikes on trickle chargers and enjoy the excellent BMW automobile - a version of which I should have purchased years ago.

Will be certain to post photos when it arrives.

Congrats...you will love the monaco blue color......especially during the day when the sun shines on it!!

I plan on deciding once I get the car - will go 10% darker on the rear and equal tint on all four side windows..
