Price and power do no always have to be related. I could drive an Evo and call you crazy for spending about twice the cost of my car for a 335 for similar power. You'd respond that it's worth it because it's a bimmer and it's higher quality and better fit and finish. The same holds true for Audi. Not many would argue against Audi's interiors, which are far superior to BMW's, and the exterior styling is just as good if not better, so it's really not that much of a stretch.

EVO and BMW are not in the same class of cars so they can't really compare. Have you seen a magazine review where they compare the two? NO!

Audi and BMW, on the other hand, are in the same class and league of luxury coupes/ sport sedans.

So 50k because it has nicer interior? Personally, I don't like the Audi interior design, so that can be very subjective.

Other than that, the A5 offers nothing for 50k.

Oh I agree, but to some people a nicer interior and exterior (subjective) is worth the price difference. (Which in this case is what, 5k?)

Loaded A5 is 45k I believe... But the price is comparable to the 328xi.

Audi i think does have the better interior, but a loss of 50 hp and gain of a ton of weight in the Quattro, is going to slow this guy down quite a bit, and take it from me, I'm a Audi owner, looking into BMW's. An interior can't replace power and price that much. In terms of exterior styling, i don't think the Audi looks much better than a e92.

Looks are subjective, but Audi lacks in the performance department big time.

Well, it's kinda true. My Audi friends feel the same way. Look at the IS350, G37, 335i, etc.. All the competition is much faster in the same price range.

In this case I agree, but not in every case. i.e. Nobody is going to argue that an M6 is a better sports car than an R8, and if they do, they're a moron. Also, I think that I'd take an RS4 over an M3 if I lived in a very snowy/rainy climate or I was going to enter a rally race.

I'd take a R8 over a lot of cars, the thing looks like a winner.

No doubt, everytime you compare apples to apples BMW beats Audi in performance, I guess the only draw is i think Quattro is a better AWD system, more proven than X-drive. But those only come in handy in bad weather or in colder climates. But and A4 bases engine gets blown away by a 328, the 3.2 is a far cry from the 335. the new rs4 could take a e46 m3 but i don't know about the new e90's coming out.
