Wine - Red or White
What's your wine preference? We're normally red, but my wife had a taste for white tonight. Tasted like Wine Lite. eeehh!
What's the best bottle you've had / tried? A 1994 Chateux Margaux was the best I've had.

I'm usually a red person myself. My fiancee likes white, preferably the sweet, dry ones.
I can't bring myself to spend more then $40 on a bottle, just not worth it IMO. So I've never had anything by any means that I'd consider "GREAT" but have had a few good wines usually through friends. I'll let them pony up the cash and if I get a class I won't complain haha.

I enjoy both, depending on my mood, the situation, and food. White wine, while in general being lighter, can be just as nuanced as a red. I cannot say if I have a favorite but my tastes run toward French wines, Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Loire, Rhone. In general, I will go with a red or white Bourgogne over any other region. Champagne trumps everything though.

All of the shit gives me a headache, so I have no preference. Either way, I'll be poppin' an 800mg IBU by the end of the night.

I like both, but lean toward red. I drive up to Santa Barbara County about 4 times a year and buy a couple cases of wine direct from the vineyards... best way to go. And the drive up on the coast is perfect for the vert.

My personal favorite is red....cabernet sauvignon. But if I'm drinking and eating, I drink the appropriate wine per food. I try to not drink wine at weddings any more. I end up drinking 2 bottles at least. How I wake up fine is beyond me. |

yup, but I keep it easy - always steak (usually fillet) and Red Bordeaux. Any thing else requires me to think. I don't like to think!

I'm thinking that's not the fault of the wine
