That's right, the GT-R has been in the works for a while now. Everyone knew it was going to be a screamer. Of course it has around a $75K price tag too.

I am sorry but you are mis-informed. Skyline and GTR are 2 different animals.

Well for the price this is not even close for the 335i to compete with. The goal of the GTR is performance, not much else. Even M3 is not really in the same league for performance, although I think BMW was never looking at the GTR as competition for M3 anyway.

Ugly car in my opinion, especially with that softened front. I like the boxy but aggressive look of the R34 more at this point. But like any new design, probably will grow on you once you see if more in real life.

Base version is the only one that will be offered with a 6MT and chrome wheels and it will cost only $57K. This one will make app. 480 bhp.

The premium version will have the gunmetal wheels and a 7spd sequential auto with a price tag of $68K.

The EVO will make 550bhp, will weigh less than both of them, and cost app. $94K.

nissan did a good job on this. GT-R's been kicking butt for a while. they may not have the looks of a lambo or a ferrari but they sure do have at least the same performance if not better.

let's see how high this is going to be marked up, Z06 (SS, or even Z07) might still be cheaper when you take markup into account

Sorry – you are misinformed.
I was commenting on the statement that Skyline is not imported to the US.

hmmm, I think you may be mis-informed.lol Nissan "skyline" is just that, it's a line type of cars. It's Nissan's mid-size sedans and coupes sold in the west. The skyline model sold in the west is the G35/37 and now in addition, the GT-R. Skyline is an old model name from the late 50s before Nissan merged with the original company. BLUF: Skyline = G35 = GT-R

Well technically I would say you're correct but for all intensive purposes, the G35 is a skyline. It's called a skyline in Japan.

I've been looking forward to this car for a long time, and have read about all of the speculative figures... But those claimed numbers are crazy.
