2015 Subaru WRX, or how to tease a monster and release a Corolla with a hood scoop
Anyone else extremely disappointed that Subaru beiged out on the new WRX? I've never owned a Subaru, but the concept looked absolutely amazing. The real thing looks like the commercial should feature a guy driving it through a neighborhood full of people in colorful outfits dancing to electronic music and end with a robot saying "lets go places"

LOL- the actual car looks like the concept with an overbite and downs syndrome. It has nothing like that quasi-coupe rake that the concept has. The fenders went from dead sexy to tacked-on afterthought, partly because the tiny wheels and wheel-wells really throw the proportions off and make it more econo-sedan looking. The front fenders also don't have vents, which when combined with covering tiny wheels just makes them look poorly designed...like something out of a JC Whitney Catalog. One of the most off-putting things of all is the rocker panel and the doors- completely out of proportion from the concept. The front overhang has always been bad on subies. Curious how it performs though

They made it look like a normal car (like a honda civic si)
What I love about my brothers wrx sti is how aggressive it looks and you know it's a beast. The wheels look like they belong on a jetta

The Japanese are notorious for this. Case in point:
