I really like it. I've never driven it so I can't comment on how it drives but I thought it looked great having seen it around town. Ford Explorer in white= beauty!

The more I drive it the more I like it. The twin turbo v6 has no problem getting upto speed at all... And I hear high flow cats, exhaust and tune net an extra 70hp and 120tq. That is insane !!
It drives real quiet, very comfy interior, great looks, tons of tech inside sony surround sound stereo, navi, in dash computer, ambient lighting remote start, remote entry, USB, Bluetooth, SD card, tow pack, multiple 4wd settings similar to new RR evoque, panoramic sunroof, ski snowboard rack, leaves heate and cooled seats, third row seating, power liftgate, the whole thing is just well done I never thought that Ford could throw something like this together besides their trucks. Ill post pictures tomorrow. I recommend you all go an drive one if your in the SUv market. Can't beat it for the price. |

Rented a base model for about 10 days this summer on a trip out west with the family. Even though it lacked a number of toys (including the ecoboost 6), it seriously made me think we overpaid for our '11 X5.

The Explorer Sport is on my short list along with the Durango R/T for my next grocery getter. I have driven the R/T but not the Sport.

Our daily beater is a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport. It lives outside and we use it to keep the miles off our BMWs when we leave town or need to run a quick errand. Certainly not as comfortable as my X5, but that little thing is reliable!

We looked at the explorer sport a few months ago when we were shopping for a new hauler. It eventually came down to the 2014 grand cherokee and that. We have no use for a third row and were majorly turned off by the sync system. Our head of IT had one and it used to crash so badly that they would have to disconnect the battery to reset it. Not ideal for road trips. The car platform it sits on was also less than inspiring. It was definitely quick but we ultimately opted for a hemi equipped grand cherokee overland. We found it to be a more capable "truck" and fit our needs nicely. It didn't hurt that we also got a heavy discount through my company.

While I've heard good things about the Grand Cherokee, after my sister's experience with her 2005 Liberty, I would never buy anything made by Jeep (except maybe a Wrangler). Just personal opinion.
