Garage List
xmas gifts for gf/wife

Normally I have some pretty good ideas for gifts but this year I am seriously drawing a blank.

What are you guys doing/giving as gifts this year.

And a new vacuum cleaner. Maybe a spatula if they are on sale.

Things women love

Birchbox subscription
Hermes Scarf (can't go wrong with that, ever) - ask for extra hermes ribbon from your SA to do up the external box for extra brownie points
Custom chocolate covered fortune cookies with messages from you inside (bring them to a restaurant ahead of time and tip the server $20 to serve them to you when you get there as a "complimentary appetizer")
Burberry touchscreen-capable gloves
Custom built, mirrored and lighted perfume showoff rack
Louboutin shoes, if you don't know what she will like go with the simple pumps in satin black
Hot air balloon rides
Get a bespoke perfume made with her name on it. Can incorporate ingredients she likes as well as meaningful ingredients to places that are important to you both.
Tom Ford makeup/cosmetics/perfume/leathergoods

The details matter. Like the Hermes thing. Go the extra mile and get orange wrapping paper and extra authentic ribbon and buy some other Hermes smaller stuff (gold scarf ring, book about the history of the brand, etc) to make a "theme" of it. It's amazing to me but honestly women really do care about the effort you put into packing things for them special.

Thank me later.

Maybe start writing a blog, for "What women like for gifts." Some solid ideas there.

Thank you?!?!

That shit is more likely to get me divorced than make my wife happy. My wife want's parts for her jeep, upgrade parts for her bike, new bike shorts, new running shoes, parts for her Mini.... I don't think i've ever given her perfume. She will take a nice scarf and some nice shoes though, athletic or other wise.

The correct answer to the OPs question is, if you don't know already, you aren't paying enough attention. I suppose though, if that's the case, see the quote above and pray for the best.

My list was for the majority of females. I can provide lists for specific females as well though.

Let's try again:

A strap-on
A case of bud-light
Season tickets to the WWF

Any closer?

Why would she want tickets for the World Wide Fund for Nature.

Well, she seems kinda like a hippie. Bike shorts, running shoes, and drives a Mini?

Hippie? No... Don't see many hippies running around in bike shorts.

Edit: Not Mrs. Tonka but you get the idea!

^ There's a small ratio that can beat Mrs. Tonka.

As for gifts for women, none for meh this year. All going into the car.

I've been married for 8 years now and i still have no clue. I suck at gift giving because I tend to buy things I'd enjoy..

I'm not going to do this personally but I do like this idea. Get both of you matching pedometer wristbands (might disregard this advice if she's large, 'big boned' or has low self esteem as she might not appreciate your innuendo). And no, the reason I'm not going to do it is not because my wife is fat.

If she's fit and/or fitness oriented she might like the fact that you got a his and hers and can track yo fitness together. Cuz doin' shit together is what's important. I'm a ladies' man, I would know. These things seem to have advanced quite a bit technologically in the last few years and do a lot more than just track your steps.

It looks like the Fitbit and Jawbone are pretty cool.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. Just pointing out that not all women are the same and you're better off actually paying attention to what your woman wants. No need to be a douche because i know what mine wants.

And you'd be closer with redneck. But but you're right. Strong minded, professional, successful, independent, driven, athletic women aren't for everyone. Most guys like women who would like the stuff on your list though, as they tend to be less of a challenge.

Not toooo far off. I don't know many hippies who put 5,800 miles a year on their bikes for fun either. Would probably be more if it weren't for the swimming and running.

Like a for you / for me gift, or just straight up, "Honey, i got you new suspension for my car." ?

I'm assuming you were paying attention when she saw the bag in Bloomingdales and then picked it up at a later date. If so, awesome gift and she'll love it!

I used to get my wife bags, shoes, clothes etc... but now if she sees something she likes, she gets it. So she leaves the vehicle, bike, electronic gear upgrades to me.

Mine saw a vanity set in a catalogue she wanted really bad. It's a bit pricey, but she's been using a makeshift one since we moved into our new house and I know she needed one so I bought it. I saw her looking at it and her eyes lit up and she said, "Oooh that's pretty!"

If you're half paying attention to her when she talks or when she's looking through a magazine/catalogue then you'll know what to buy.

^^ Those have got to be one of the least stripper/hooker looking pair of RedBottoms i've seen. Nearly all others are WAY over the top of the gaudy department. ....In my opinion anyway.

haha, I'm not that bad. I think I try a little. One xmas I bought her a brookstone foot massager because every time we'd walk by it at the mall we would sit there until we get kicked out..But thats only half true because every time we go to the mall , i'd sit in one of those massagers until she's done shopping and comes to pick me up...
