Off-Topic is open to all of Bimmerpost, not just E90post, just a heads up.

This is all I have. The photo is a little old, but not much has changed.

Picture is the whole game room...Speakers are episode 700 series, which I also have wired throughout the house. Looking to get a new Onkyo 7.2 system someday.

Nice. I'm in the process of building out a dedicated theater with mostly the same setup (rf-82 and rc-62). I'm going with Klipsch reference in walls for surrounds and and in ceilings for surr rears this is mainly due to aesthetics and room design. I'm also going with dual SVS subs.

I've always done Klipsche and Onkyo combos but never used an amp in between, can you tell me how much different it is vs powering the speakers with the Onkyo amp?

I've noticed that it allows the the setup to run its full spectrum of sound output. I notice this even more during Dolby tru hd sound in movies. I waited until Emotiva ran they're sale and got mine for 750 shipped (the 10 year transferable warranty was a huge bonus). Running this setup can allow for more areas of sound distortion so you need to be very meticulous with speaker wire hookup.

Edit: SVS.....mmmmmm!!!!!

Nice! I coveted some paradigms for a long time. Just couldn't bring myself to pick them up with how little i would really use them. I have a very old set of Altec Lansing towers that sound awesome. They produce a very warm and rich sound. They're sitting on a pair of Klipch 10" subs. Rounded out with B&W center and rear speakers. Powered by Denon, kind of hodgepodge but it creates the type of sound quality i like. I tried to pick components so that nothing sounds electronic or tinny. The paradigms would have been a sold fit for that type of sound though!

I ran all of my A/V shit into the bedroom closet on the other side of the house. The only things I have in the living room are my TV (wall mounted 60" slim Samsung on a slim mount) and Bose Acoustamass 10 speakers. Yeah, yeah, Bose sucks... whatever. Sounds all right for the room it is in.

Why did you leave the stickers all over the front of your receiver?

I just upgraded my receiver to a Marantz SR-6008
Speakers are all Mirage OS3 ominsats due to a funky room shape in my old condo.
Panasonic GT25 50" 3DTV

Wow, impressive sets here! I feel like how girls must feel when we talk about car parts in front of them haha.

I'm all happy with my 60" Vizio with a Vizio sound bar HAHAHA.

Just never pulled the stuff off. I like to keep my stuff as nice and in as new of shape as possible to make resale easier. Every 3-4 years a receiver is out of date ya know. I think I may be alright for a bit though with 3d capability and 4k resolution ready. Marantz makes good stuff good choice there man!!!

Believe it or not I have never really heard Bose put through its paces in a home theatre setup. People must stand by Bose for some reason though it's certainly no off the shelf Panasonic from Best Buy. Do they produce good sound when pushed?

I just took this yesterday evening. Quite possibly the saddest living room/HT you'll ever see but gets the job done for now. Benq W600 projector paired with my Macbook Pro and my old Logitech Z2300 speakers I had since University (best $99 I ever spent). I usually only use it at night so image is quite good. For the record I moved in a few weeks ago and only been here about 4 times lol.

My AV installer friend fought tooth and nail to get me change my mind on Bose. The problem is that any options he offered were more expensive, required large holes in ceilings and/or walls or were bookshelf type speakers.

My objectives were:

1) Under a $1000 (He got me brand new Acoustamass 10 at cost for $720. Including 5 mounts! REALLY hard to beat this deal)
2) Unobtrusive. I would either replace the speakers with something cheaper or just leave the Bose when i sell the house. Even if i decide to rip everything out it will be super easy to patch the walls.

My living room is only 12' x 16' with 9' ceilings. Bose puts out more than enough power and clear sound for my taste. I don't think i've ever went over 60% volume on my Pioneer VSX-1123 receiver. Even the AV dude said "hmm... your setup sounds much better than i expected!"

I had those Z-2300s are well, awesome speakers. They actually were my home theater speakers also until they crapped out and I replaced them with some nice Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
