335 haters
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=314998
what a bunch of BS. now the is350 is faster than a 335 and it will rule the world. seems like there is a lot of hostility on the other Audi, Lexus , G37 forums. I wonder why? ![]()

Just ignore them. You're doing exactly what they want you to do..feed into the frenzy.
The this vs. that car debate will never end, the battle will be like what the crips and bloods were in the 90s. After clicking on the thread you linked...good for him, let him have some cookies and milk and get some pats on the back. |

I saw a lot of this when I owned my Evo. I think some of it stems from jealousy from the other camps and the rest (getting ready to be unpopular) from dipshit 335 owners who think with a piggyback their car is the fastest thing on the road, feel the need to race anything and everything they come across and talk a lot of shit.
I like this car and feel it is reasonably quick but, I know it's in no way shape or form anywhere near the fastest thing around nor is it a race car. Let's be honest even 12 sec 1/4's aren't fast when you start looking around. |

don't fuss...
there's a reason Car & Driver names e90/e92 as top 10 cars of the year (every damn year), and the IS and its competitors always lag behind... hell, wouldn't you fuss if you ALWAYS trail behind the BMW?? ![]() |

for the same price... and as a straight forward gift, i think that decision is just a tad bit silly...
the IS is a solid car... i was looking into them before buying my 3... but i decided against it when i figured how "gay" i looked in one of them... now, the e90 rocks my socks. one of my closest gal friends drives a is250... and she rocks it... but for guys (esp if you're over 180lbs), there's a few issues. |

I like the IS350 but, I just didn't like it as much as the 335.
I am pretty excited to see the IS-F though. That should be a pretty sweet car. Especially considering it should cost close to a loaded 335. |

I wouldn't call it hate, the guy was happy to beat a 335i at the track. While it was mostly due to the driver rather than the car, he still won.
I don't know, I like both the 335 and the IS350, they are both more similar than everyone likes to make out. The whole Toyota parent company always seems to pop up when it really has little relevance other than that the reliability has carried over between brands. Wasn't the IS350 originally targeted at the 330 before it was discontinued and the 335 came out?

It handles well enough for me. I don't race my IS350 on the streets. I don't race it on a track except for the drag strip occasionally (3x last 2 years). I do floor it every single day going to and from work (stress release) and after 23,000 miles and a touch over 2 years, it still doesn't have a single rattle or anything unusual. It does 13.44 1/4 BONE STOCK with junk in the trunk and 1/2 tank of gas and I'm not modifying anything because personally I think modding is a waste of money. For 38K sticker brand new, it gets the job done - I get to work, I come back home from work. It has ventilated seats and heated seats. It has iPod and keyless and various other comfortable options. Sure, the TL is a better deal, but I don't want FWD. The new G35 and 335 weren't available Oct 2005 so back then, my IS350 was way faster than the 330 or the old G35 and cheaper and probably more reliable than the 330 statistically and a no-brainer. I could care less about road feel, handling. All modern cars handle well enough for me (even my old ES300). I just wanted a car that can get to speed quickly. I could get a faster sportier car but at the time, for me, it was all I needed. SO, please don't hate us IS350 owners. Not all of us hate 335s. And believe it or not, I'm not jealous of your cars. I'm glad the 335 is out. Maybe the next generation of the IS350 will also have a turbo. My life doesn't revolve around a car and if it did, I'd certainly be driving an F430 instead.
