Uhhh... ok, so is this suppose to be competition for the 335? I think its going to be priced just a tad higher.

I'm not sure what you mean by the 335's last stand.

Yeah, it's kind of weird how people grow dissatisfied with something in a matter of months. Probably what Buffet and Gates describe as being an issue here in the US. I would expect people to bash the 335 because it's pretty good. But then to have actual 335 owners saying how they're going to an M3, going to an Audi, going to this, that, etc. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they don't have the pocketbooks to do so. They are stuck in lease mode or something. I mean one guy even said he kept a 5 series for a couple of weeks and then got a new car. Now all of a sudden diesels are so much better even though they cost more, weigh more, pollute more, the fuel costs more, etc.

If you have a 335, please, be reasonable, try to find some satisfaction in your car. If you can't, imho something is wrong with you.

Looks like radar-evading car, much like Nighthawk and Stealth.

I am as baffled as everyone else. By the title, I figured you'd gotten fed up with your fuel pump, and were giving your car "one last chance."

Suppose you go with the Benz. Then 6 months later they come out with a 400 hp 335. Are you gonna sell or trade the MB for the BMW because it has 12 more hp than the MB? This is just ridiculous.

The CLK550 will have 388 hp, the AMG 500ish.. But most people will end up with the CLK350 with 268 hp.. The current CLK 350 costs about $6k more than the 335i coupe... So the CLK is really in a different price bracket.

Cheaters!! They are using a V8
I have always liked CLKs, but they have always been to pricey for what they are.

There will always be something bigger, better and, of course, more expensive.
The real point about the 335i is that the boys at Munich have placed a good looking, powerful, fun to drive, four passenger car in the market at a price point which is reachable by most people who have good jobs and a lust for power. It can run with many muscle cars costing 20 large more and will get you and a small family down the highway at 30mpg. And, if you want more hp/torque it's available without expensive aftermarket parts that compromise drivability and engine life.
Who could want more?

Diesels get better fuel economy and pollute LESS. Your data is old.

oh damn i'll take your clk 63 and spank it with a 599gtb...these threads are as lame as senseless killing...oh and there is an s63 downstairs so i am very familiar with the 63 amg engine....oh wait...its in the shop cause of a rattle in the seat...and germany "drop shipped" the part it yesterday so 7-10 days according to mb...what great service for a 150k car...i mean they couldn't have sent it over night...the rattle is annoying as hell and constant...so much so merc already has the faulty part undercontrol and fixed....to bad i have to wait 7-10 days
