Seriously considering selling 335i for C7

My 335i is a 2008 coupe automatic with RB turbos and a Wedge tune. The car is a monster.
I test drove a stock C7 manual last night and yes it had some power but I know for a fact my 335i would rape it in a run of the freeway. Now throw some headers, intake and a tune on the vette and maybe that story will change.

But beside that, how many of you would get rid of your 335i for a C7 vette if you had the chance?
Mine would look like this. I can't decide between red or white

IMO the vette more of a badass car.

also IMO those vette sounds better than those trubo I6s.

i am looking at a C7 to replace my M3 sooner or later. also looking to do headers, intake, custom tune. which is getting 500HP with that combo.

See I can do two seats as I think theres only been a few people who have ridden with me in my 335i

Im debating either waiting til august when they start offering more than $5k off MSRP because they are getting ready for the 2015s or if I should buy a 2015 as soon as they come out that way I can enjoy it for 2 years and when I sell it, it's only really just over a year old.

The 2014s will be a year old in a few months so buying one like today would be a major hit on depreciation

I've been thinking of getting one, but not to replace anything in the fleet. I'm banking on getting another 100K out of my '06 E90, which I rack up about 35K a year on. I've got wife-approval for adding the C7 to the fleet (currently two pick ups and 2 BMWs). Driven conservatively for DD use the C7 can serve as a Friday commute-to-work car. Keeping me from filling out the C7 order sheet is making sure the job scene is stable, which should be known in a few months. I'd keep the C7 for a long time, so I have no worry of depreciation.

The C7 is too damned good to ignore. I say go for it.

C7 Z51 is at the top of my next car list. I want black on black.

Lol, well the C7 is obviously a way better and more focused sports car but there are huge tradeoffs such as not even having a rear seat. If you can do it though, go for it. The C7 is an absolutely brilliant sports car and one of the best values in high performance vehicles you can get....

That white looks pretty bad ass.

That black looks pretty good. But they are hard to keep the paint looking good over a few years

I wonder what a base Corvette is like..

all the reviews I have read have Z51 package and magnetic ride control, which are must haves IMO.

But there are a few base corvette stingrays for 50k... some are already discounted $2,000

I guess I'm just a weirdo but I really would prefer the new Vette over the 911 even at the same price. I know the Porsche is a better car but there is something about that Vette that I just WANT!

Drive both around town and on some nice back roads and you might change your mind (if we are saying they are the same price). The corvette is fantastic and really is the performance bargain currently. There is some trade offs since it is a bargain and these only relate to the feel of the car, but unless you come from a porsche or higher end car you will never know the difference. For the op if you don't need the backseats get the C7, I wouldn't hesitate. Also get a Z51 for the price difference it's a no brainer it makes a big difference. My next car will be between the new Shelby, Z51, cayman S, or M3/4.

I say do it. I got rid of my 135 in November for a C6 ZO6 and I do not regret it at all. I get so much attention with it not to mention respect. After the heads and cam go on next month it will be a monster that will be hard for much to beat it at 3100lbs and 700+HP. It handles better and stops far better then the bmw as well.

They are not 3250. No clue where you read that. Mine has lighter wheels and tires as well. The factory curb weight with half tank is 3160lbs. My friend has scales and he corner weighted my car and verified the weight. It is a 3107lbs give or tank depending on fuel level. ALso getting rid of the factory catted h-pipe and heavy manifolds helped a lot.

Just looked it up most are 3150-3180 depending on options.

Have you done light weight rotors? Theres a company that has some that are about 4lbs less per corner. Then get a light weight battery. Thatll be good for another 40lbs lighter
Imagine getting that Z06 under 3000lbs

Lol at even remotely believing your tuned 2008 335i is better than the C7 Corvette. Just trade up.

I've been a long time loyal BMW owner ('00 323i, '01 330i, '08 335i and my current '11 135i) and I plan to get the Corvette Stingray Z51 next.

For the money, nothing else touches it performance-wise. This latest generation has a vastly improved interior/technology, which is now fitting for a $50+k car. I plan to get the base trim 1LT with all the performance-enhancing options: Z51 package, magnetic shocks and dual mode exhaust.

Now I just have to patiently wait for the 2015 MY to be released.
