Chrysler ordering 93 Vipers donated to schools to be crushed

http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoram...170043330.html

The short version: Chrysler donated 93 Vipers to a myriad of automotive shop classes. Two of those Vipers were involved in accidents by joyriding kids who took 'em out. Chrysler doesn't want the liability, so it wants them all crushed in the next 2 weeks, give or take. One of 'em is the 4th Viper ever built.

Ummm... Why not donate them to automotive museums instead of crushing them? While it sucks for the school to lose the 4th ever built Viper, I am sure they would rather have it go to a museum than get crushed.

They should take them all to a track and auction off chances to drive them with no oil in the motor. Destructive testing...
