anybody know if you can get the m-kit preinstalled on the 128? or would you have to buy the kit and get it done by whoever in the states oh and 35k aint so bad... in a year or year n' a half after its release im sure you add on premium package and sport package and its 40k or slightly under.

yup I was there.
And I nailed the price month ago when I said it will probably be around $34-36K The car is tiny. I was the first to open the door and sit in the thing, and the BMW guy said, "not many people in North America have been in the 135i yet." Sorry I can't upload my photos of the unveiling and stuff. For some reason the site is not letting me. Oh well, will have to try Friday, as I'm working tomorrow. **BTW, I was the 2nd person in the Nissan GT-R Sweet car, but a bit plasticky inside. |

He said, "a bit over 100 lbs less" When asked what was "a bit" he said he didn't have an exact amount but that the 135i is a little more than 100 lbs less and the 128i is about 200 lbs less than the 328i. He also said the 335i has a stiffer suspension (tuned basically just like the 335i but since it has a shorter wheelbase they had to soften it a bit so it wasn't so bouncy) with less body roll (no surprise since the 135i is taller). He said they both perform similiarly on a track ("about as good as the outgoing M3" in his words. |

+1
+1 on that. I am not following the 1er as close as the M3 but seems like a very cool car. I think the pricing is too high. This is supposed to be an entry level car.

Wow totally agree with all the above posts. I was really waiting to see the 135 come here, but for only 4k more i can get a 335.. and it's so much more practical.
