Interesting confirmation on 335i competitor

The new 2009 B8 platform S4 is said to have 330 bhp and twin turbos again. Looks like Audi wants to continue playing with BMW...and to get back the tuner crowd in the S4.

Let's hope that BMW counters with a ZHP/M-sport option with the 40+ bhp flash, LSD, M-sport suspension, and interior/exterior bits. That would put the 335 well ahead of the competition in this niche.

if they do add the 40hp flash, LSD and M-sport suspension, what's the point of having the E92 M3 in their line-up?

The M3 is more about the driving feel then the actual speed. Just look a Ferrari's.

"And lest we forget the all important marketing perspective, the 3.0-liter bi-turbo will also best a similar offering in BMW's 335i which weighs in at only 300-hp"

Funny how they are targeting their "S"line against the regular 335 now. Guess they figured the S4/M3 debate was ultimately out of their reach.
