Favorite Car Magazine
I've been subscribed to Car and Driver for 4 years now. I often buy some other car magazines, like Road and Track, Automobile Magazine, and Motor Trend, but I still prefer C&D.
I travel a lot internationally for business, and I like to buy car magazines in other countries. I have several issues of Brazilian, British, Spanish, Japanese and South African car magazines. I haven't gone to Australia, but I imagine they have a lot of action going on there too. I have bought a couple of Luxury Car Magazine Issues recently, like the Robb Report, but not to much there. Lastly, I often order free car catalogs/brochures directly from the manufacturer websites, and they mail them to me. I pick many of those too during the autoshows. Want to know where do I keep all of my car library? At my bathroom!!! This is my sacred reading place. |

evo and car ftw. they are both british so they are a little more expensive than the american mags. i like them because of the cars they cover. i dont care to read about american trucks, vans and non sports cars as i have no interest in them. evo and car have great coverage of european sports cars and do cover the jap and american sports cars some.

Tied in first are Evo and C&D. I like Motor Trend's layout, and it's kinda tied with Road and Track for second. I'll read the ocassional Car and Automobile mag as well. Automobile probably places third. I think Car talks too much about gas prices and the auto business...which is interesting...but gimme my car info damnit!

Car and Evo are my top two, then Octane, and I'll buy an issue of Autocar if it's got an article on something interesting. Automobile is the only US mag that comes close in quality of writing, imo. I've never been a big fan of Road and Track, Car and Driver, or Motor Trend. My least favorite mag? Top Gear. Much as I like the show, I can flip through that entire magazine without happening across something I'd like to read.
Then there are the BMW mags. BMW Car is my favorite (I also like its sister mag GT Purely Porsche), then Roundel, lastly Bimmer (actually, I'm not a fan of that entire stable of magazines - the same companies does Excellence, a Ferrari mag, a Corvette mag, and I think they do Sports Car International). |

Thanks - I actually have one issue of EVO (Nov 2007) that I bought because I liked the comparison of many BMW M models (including the legendary M1, and obviously the new M3 Coupe).
