There’s no need to drive tank to realize that it will not be nimble do you need to put your hand in fire to find out it’s hot ? What if curb weight is not the only thing throwing one off ?

E39 was first manual V8 M5 E60 with screaming V10 maybe unreliable but nobody complained about lack of character F10 even though I did not like it had DCT that was loved by many F90 stupid fast V8 TT AWD that could rival supercars up to certain point and had no business to move as quickly as it had. Downshifts in D mode are laggy Look controversial On paper numbers (hp...) does not look good |

Understood ctelimad But I think most can agree on the point made that this is an “M7”. Nothing M5 about this car at all. The cheap interior is particularly troubling as well. We can go back and forth but seriously what is BMW doing is the question. Why are we as consumers accepting this clear departure from quality and making excuses for it?

We differ in opinions here, F80 was absolutely forgettable imo, and just about the only M car I feel that way about. I’ll give you that the limits of the G are pretty high, so yeah you need to be going faster than the speed limit to get the best out of it. That same could be said for the old cars too, though.
