It's funny because you often assume that Mustangs are aimed at 20 something kids, but the average age of a mustang buyer is over 50 so mid-life crisis is right. That's why Ford is contemplating a complete design overhaul and the next version may look suspisciously like my 1.

First off, its a mid engined sports car not a muscle car.
Remind us what you own again? Besides a rocketship in your little kid fantasies that is.

I love the looks on the outside, hate the looks on the inside.

lol, the GT40 was a mid-engined sports car, the new GT was and will always be a muscle car, not a track car. And I think you might be jealous of my awesome rocketship.

this is your quote
"Ford GT = greatest muscle car ever, Mustang GT = mid life crisis POS"

The GT40 was the mid engined sports car that won LeMans in the 60's embarassing Enzo Ferrari.
The Ford GT was the model from 2005-06 that was built using the GT40 as its reference, it also is a mid engined sports car, not a muscle car.
The Mustang GT on the other hand is a muscle car and a damn good one at that.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

The 2011+ 5.0 GT's have always been a great bang for the buck, but unless I'm missing something this one isn't much faster than the '12. 8hp is not going to change a whole lot. Granted it looks better and has more features.

Boy the douchebags on here just keep crawling out of the woodwork ! I miss my 335i but this new Shelby is just a blast to drive. All the BMW fanboys who never have driven a New Gt or Shelby GT500 for that matter have no idea what they are missing. After a few days of driving this shelby I realize that this is what it must have been like in the 60's and 70's to walk in a dealership and buy a true muscle car off the showroom floor !

Gone but not forgotten... by the way...took the dealer all one week to sell her to a new lucky owner !

I've driven both the GT and V6 vert for extended periods of time (the vert for almost two months). 1) quality was much better than previous Fords (I owned a F250 for 8 years) 2) pretty fast cars for the money. but after all said and done, i couldn't wait to get back into my BMW. Still a much better product in my eyes and to the touch. And the look of the Ford just isn't me. Same reason why I wouldn't ride a Harley, even though I think some are pretty sweet

BTW, why wouldn't you wait for the 2013 GT500?
