I've made the drive to Portland a few times in my time of driving. I'll be going back this November and it'll be the first time taking the Bimmer.

Definitely looking forward to it.

a little south of Florence. Nearest city is called Lakeside, near Eel Lake

Highway 6 through Tillamook State forest is awesome. Buttery smooth and nice long sweeping curves. It was decently empty as well.

Awesome pictures. I would love to go on a road trip like this, with that kind of scenery. Thanks for sharing.

i've done a roadtrip or 2 out on the east coast, but not one that was kinda centered around camping and the outdoors. I'm sure there's gotta be some great places out there.

Haha, I drove that back in 2006 or so, but I was 16 then, and drove a Saturn. I definitely need to make the drive again, but in the Bimmer.
