Not my words above but very relevant. I’m also tired of threads going down those paths. Everyone should feel free to voice their subjective thoughts on these magnificent machines and then spend time clarifying/debating the objective statements. You shouldn’t care if I like the F90 design better than what I’ve seen so far with the G. Just like I respect and am curious as to why BMW is taking this new design course and many like it. I’ve been contributing less frequently on here due to those same/few individuals that want to argue if a white car is a better color than a blue car. And when there is a difference of opinion…watch out. Fortunately there are still a lot of incredibly helpful exchanges. Let’s keep coming back and doing our best to ignore that other noise.

Tires change with every oil change is going to be the norm on this car.

Tires are made of rubber which comes out of trees so they are technically vegan. You will be saving the environment even more if you use more tires 😜

Who are these "boomers" you are talking about? I mean take a poll, is anyone here in their 60s?

The term "boomers" has been made derogatory by some anxious doomscrolling niche-bitch-crowd on forums who resent everyone who dares to complain, and BMW sure has been producing some lets say polarising products, followed up by some cringe / woke marketing efforts. So people around forums last 20 years are understandably commenting on things they dont like. Why it bothers some bros here who call anyone older "boomers" without knowing what that term even means is ...beyond me.

Like that guy who says "you destroyed the world for future generations". These blamey attitudes can get fucked, they do nothing good. And people driving any kind of change to environment isnt new, since like 60s people have been trying to solve certain issues, some take longer, some faster. I cant fucking stand this that every time someone complains its "you boomers" addressed usually at some early millenial. Just smh. Youre not any better than people you complain about. So stop it.

Just enjoy the cars!

If you’re just tuning in:

People concerned about weight (who cares lol)

People mad V8 is quiet. Europe is failing us eventhough trying to save the penguins.

People hate boomers.

People learning why brakes glow red.

People using boomers incorrectly and then Guy telling “you don’t know me!”

Another dude saying play nice (I agree.)

Anyways I love everyone’s passion for these cars and BMW. LFG baby. Sick car excited for the final thing. Are we confirmed for M3 LCI and M5 G90 debut July this year right?

On the red hot brake issue, does anyone know if there is regen going on also to recoup the battery? I would assume so, but this could be part of what we’re seeing here…?

My use of boomer is directed at those on here who don’t take the time to educate themselves as to why BMW MUST make this kind of car because car companies have no choice other than to stop making any car. If a person can’t understand that and appreciate the fact that BMW is doing the absolute best with what current technology seems possible, than those people can keep their opinions to themselves because it’s not based on anything other than ignorance.
And exactly to that point…
Let’s not ignore the use of the term “woke” here. Do we know what that means? It is derived from the understanding of being educated and awake to reality, rather than sleeping through it and being ignorant. So yes, I’m woke. If your understanding of the term is something different, I’m sorry to be the one to tell you otherwise, but it’s true.
I'am glad that you know all this is true and that you know that BMW is doing the right stuff.

When you regenerate, you need less braking on the rotors. That they lite up is not any indication of anything, except maybe that they run "hot" under these circumstances.

Exactly. AND you are also operating with a lot less power to haul that dead weight. I’d rather have a full ICE car with full ICE power whatever that may be.

Now, when technology evolves to make an electric car weigh significantly less with greater range and a charging infrastructure that can handle large numbers of electric cars then I’ll be really interested in trying an electric car. I think electric cars will eventually get to a point most of all of us like them, but we just aren’t there yet.

Moderator , can you please help me understand why my posts are being removed while others are allowed to post replies that quote my removed posts? I’m trying to understand what is and isn’t allowed, because it seems very inconsistent. Thank you.

When posting on car forums, leave all feelings at home These are complete strangers and never for the life of me can understand why people take what anyone says to heart? Laugh about it/ break balls back but don’t whine about it and report it. Kinda lame. Man card police are watching. Don’t give them a reason to take yours. Happy Easter peeps 🐥

The G90 M5 Hybrid would speak volumes on the whole "hybridization" thing if it ends up with the fast lap time of all previous gen M5s. And just like that,...many would be instant bandwagon converts!

Many frowned on the look of the G80 M3/M4, yet they flew outta the showroom! It will be the same for G90,...I'd be surprised if they even allowed test drives!

I've visited several BMW dealerships in the past month,...and only one had a 1ea new G82. Now, I don't have sales stats,...but what I do see in the YT community that many have really warmed up to the G80/G82,...and many that had F80/F82 moved up to the G80.

If you don't think it's a hot seller, that's cool! Np!

I just believe that despite it's size and weight,...the 700Hp+ G90 will be a Hot Seller! The "Time Slips" will tell...

While I suspect you are probably right, I also suspect the cross section of buyers will be different. BMW M cars were always about a precise and rewarding driving experience. This new car’s approach looks to be more about “beating the road into submission”, a comment often reserved for their competitors, instead of dancing through corners.

Cool! One thing for sure, Tirerack will love it,...that is, how fast it goes through a set of tires!
