Tuna on toasted English muffins! So good. Grapes for dessert.
Mayo from scratch! Making mayo fun, and tricky. Do not add the oil too quickly! 1 egg yolk room temp 1c vegetable oil 1/4 t salt 1/4 t Dijon mustard 1-2 T lemon juice or vinegar Place egg yolk in bowl and whisk. Add mustard and whisk. Slowly, add small amounts of oil and thoroughly whisk until incorporated before adding the next few ml. Continue whisking and adding oil slowly until all oil has been incorporated into the emulsion. Season with salt and lemon juice. Mayo can be made with an immersion blender or food processor, but this is more fun! |
