I see that, but very unfortunate and as someone who absolutely loved and embraced iDrive 7, i can say 8 is horrendous and they should definitely stop ✋

Same thing, difference is they took away the scroll wheel and put the volume on the center console and some other stuff but the UI is still the same trash.
