Missing .IPO file, GTS flash

trying to diy the M3 GTS DCT Transmission flash
i have WinKFP setup via mikes easy bmw tools,

i press F1>F3> select ECU family GS40 i get this error, i seem to be missing an IPO file

i tried looking for it in the sp daten 60.1 folder, and cant seem to find it. thanks

Import your Datens manually. It worked when I had similar instances of Error 106. BMW Standard Tools would sometimes incorrectly import the files into the database used by WinKFP.

Also make sure your OBD2 cable has to correct COM port and latency settings, and if the cable is switched to ensure it's on the proper toggle for 2007+ cars.

solved the problem, i was pressing F1>F3 and selecting the GS40 module and the zb number without the my PC connected to the car.

i was able to flash it with the 7845773 software

hey how exactly were you "not connected to the car"? I am having the same issue currently. my cars in the on position without the engine started, I can see inpa communicating with the car, can read all the info and error memory from inpa...

but when I go to winkfp I get the exact same issue as you, error 106. I tried downloading latest so datens and looked through every nook and cranny of every file and not one of them is named 00gs40.prg or 00gs40.ipo

this is frustrating, I even payed for extra download allowance from mega to download each daten folder and look through it.

what am I doing wrong?
