Ferrari's revenues, profits grow in Q1

06 May 2025 - 06:43 AM
Corporate and Financial
ANOTHER STRONG START TO THE YEAR SUSTAINED BY PRODUCT MIX

Net revenues of Euro 1,791 million, up 13.0% versus prior year, with total shipments of 3,593 units

Operating profit (EBIT)(1) of Euro 542 million, up 22.7% versus prior year, with Operating profit (EBIT) margin of 30.3%

Net profit of Euro 412 million and diluted EPS at Euro 2.30

EBITDA(1) of Euro 693 million, up 14.6% versus prior year, with EBITDA margin of 38.7%

Industrial free cash flow(1) generation of Euro 620 million

“Another year is off to a great start” said Benedetto Vigna, CEO of Ferrari. “In the first quarter of 2025, with very few incremental shipments year on year, all key metrics recorded double-digit growth, underscoring a strong profitability driven by our product mix and continued demand for personalizations. This confirms – once again – our strategy of ‘quality of revenues over quantity’. We continue to enrich our product offering – in line with our plans – with six new models this year, which include the newly launched 296 Speciale, 296 Speciale A and the much-anticipated Ferrari elettrica through a unique and innovative unveiling. We are very excited about what lies ahead.”

Both McLaren cars and Aston Martin cars are unable to make money. Both have taken steps to improve.

Not at all. Pretty much only the very high end brands are doing really well. Because as pointed out, the past 4 years have been EXTREMELY good to the wealthy.

Aston Martin screwed up by outsourcing their motors. McLaren I think people are just tired of. Only McLaren people can tell any of them apart. Who even knows what they make now?

They really should have expanded on the Senna styling. Instead they just continue with what they've always done.

AMG V8 is great. Different intake, exhaust, cams, config, tuning, sump, plumbing etc etc. Sounds totally different too.

I still like my naturally aspirated one for driving pleasure more, but I’m likely in the minority. People like turbo torque more nowadays as it looks better on paper for people obsessed with meaningless 0-60 times and doesn’t involve the driver as much.

You are also forgetting the V12 which is all Aston. Really good video to watch right here:

I'm not saying the AMG V8 isn't great. I'm just saying, why buy an Aston with an AMG V8 over an AMG with it? The old Aston V8 was a NA screamer, and had a ton of personality. The AMG V8 can be had in a ton of products.

And yeah, they have the V12 still, but isn't that fairly rare in their product line now?

The AMG engines in Astons are bespoke. Like with Pagani. Everything else is all Aston. I don’t mind the older AMG GTs at all but the new one is a big fat cruiser. Astons are very different cars to AMG. Much more bespoke and special.

The Vanquish (V12) is limited to 1000 units 333 for the US all of which are sold apparently. They’ve said that the V12 will be produced for as long as it is allowed. Nice.

Valkyrie also has a V12 but that’s a whole different kettle of fish.

Upcoming Valhalla has a flat plane crank custom AMG V8 with hybrid assistance.
