Have you tried calling other dealers? I didn't know they had this kind of anal policy. Or try getting a test drive off a private seller.

I would take 335i>Evo>Vette, because I appreciate the extra seats even if they're not being used 95% of the time. Never know when the opportunity to give an attractive lady and her friend a ride might arise.

Lol. And yeah ive called 2 other dealerships and they had the same answers! I will look on autotrader to find a private seller . There aren't to many for sale becuase they are decently new still . Throughout this day though i keep leaning more towards the 335i though. I just fear i will get bored with the car to quickly.

Amen to that. And you know it can take a lot of abuse, unlike some other motors we're familiar with around here.... Plus replacement parts are easy to find, and work on the motor is cheap (I'm talking general Chevy small block, not necessarily and specifically about the most recent high-end SB's)

Cosmetic mods? What are you expecting? Scion-esque cosmetic mods? Performance-minded individuals mod Corvettes. What can you really do to make a Corvette look better without look like you're trying too hard? I mean, Callaway has done some good work in the past, but it still looks overdone.

I've driven both, but I've heard a lot of people claim the X will lap a track faster. It boggled my mind when I found out that was even possible, because they X felt noticeably slower. In reality, it just abuses you a bit less....

Have you ever seen any turbo'd E46 M3's? They are monsters.
Quick lesson, The E46 M3 and E85 M coupe share the same engine(S54). With a proper turbo kit and supporting mods the engine is good for an easy 500-600 horsepower.

The M coupe is also the most unique car of the bunch.

OP if you want a unique car that will turn heads, get an S54 M Coupe (I believe '02-04?) and use the money you have left for a good SC kit. Unique, fast, and shitloads of fun. You can't go wrong with that.

I prefer a turbocharged car but an sc will do just fine.

My cars before this one were a '68 GTO with a Weiand-blown BB Chevy, and a S/C E36 M3. Oh, and I fabbed a custom mount/housing for an Eaton and put in on my E30 325es for a few thousand miles before I drove it into the ground.

So, yeah, I'm partial to superchargers. Before any of those, I had a Saab turbo and it ate itself regularly.

If you don't need a backseat, I'd compare the M Coupe vs the Vette, but I prefer the C6 to the Z06, VASTLY superior interior in all regards.

Hey, I'll give you my honest opinion here. After 1 almost 1 year of owning my E93...and doing fun runs against vettes, I say go for the vette. It is easily moddable, very mean sounding and can be fixed anywhere for dirt cheap.

Evo X is another ball field as is the 335i....they're both good cars and moddable. The 335i is expensive to mod, and once warranty is up, paying outta the pocket will be harsh.

The Evo X is one hell of a car too, and easily moddable as well.

Take your pick!

Wow that pic of that Z4M is clean . And i know you can supercharge them and what not but to get a kit for those cars is mad $$$. I'm not prepared just yet to sink 12k into a kit, when i can spend tons less and get ALMOST as good performance. Thanks everyone for voicing your opinion on each car, its hard to make a decision when you haven't drove them all

the southern california dealerships sell evo's close to invoice - they rely on volume over margins. Check out evom.net (evo forums) and they advertise their prices - great deals!

also, you'll find used evo X's for sale on there - occasionally a good deal there too!

I haven't had the same excat cars but I have/had the following:

C6Z06
BMW335I Coupe
Evo8 MR and Evo 9

If I have to choose one it would be the 335i. It has everything you want on a car. Yeah, the Z06 would be faster, the Evo can be modded for cheap but after all the 335i is simply the one to have.

All my cars are/were modded( the Evos, my current Z06 and my old 335i), I insist the car to have would be the 335i.
