Not trying to be cynical here, but wouldn't it be much easier just to drive to higher ground and park it till the flooding subsides?

2 problems probably. Not enough time to get to higher ground, unless you can convert to submarine/boat...second is he's got multiple vehicles. Crates the old dilemma "which do you save?!" But yeah ideally if you have any heads up, road trip time!!

Saved the Cherry M3. Sweet one, immensely clever. Stay STRONG.
Wish you, family and friends a speedy recovery.

Hey, throw a decal on your car to represent your intuitive day.

Take Care!

Very determined to save those BMW's kudos to this guy, he pretty much lost everything.
I think BMW should give/donate an M3/M4 to this guy.One of those track cars from Carolina, that find their way back to the dealerships as Preowned.

The sketchiest part is the uploaded video more than anything.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Best of luck to all affected by the storm.

What a story, I felt the same way shutting the garage door and leaving my cars durring the storm.

But Damn, I hope he finds a safe way of lowering the M3 in the garage without getting squashed, that is sketchy!

For anyone interested in the before and after of my 2015 Memorial day flood and house-garage rebuild I had some pics here (everything survived Harvey!) - scroll down to post #604:

Also some extra pics of the new garage setup with raised roof and 4-post lift here:

I'd be doing the same thing. If only people knew how much we spend modding our vehicles. Well done and be safe!

I feel for what this gentlemen had to endure, that's a lot of commitment right there.

I have a contingency plan for such a situation, it's called an above ground parking garage.
