I'm not speaking for more than Arizona (Maricopa County) specifically. Do some research - a lot of people just straight up don't pay. There's a website where you can go look at your ticket and then you can see it fall off. I don't recall the URL however.

Your correct you will prevail if you fight the ticket since they can not prove you ever received it.

However, in the mean time your license was suspended and you had to go to court and fight to get it reinstated and after all said and done, it cost you lots more then just paying the ticket.

If I remember correctly Arizona's law says that photo tickets must be served to you, meaning that someone must show up at your door, which does not happen there and the reason many people ignore it. But I know Arizona is also famous to tagging out of state drivers and then reporting to there home state and your home state basically say pay it or else, you can not use the I did not get the ticket defense because your home state does not care nor do they have to prove it.

No speed cameras in Iowa.... thank God.

There are a few red light cameras, but I have never heard of anyone here getting a ticket from them...

Not nearly as deadly as running a red light.
+1

How stupid do you have to be to run a red light? If it were up to me, three tickets on a car and the primary driver on the insurance for that car would lose their license. Unfair? Nope. Either the primary driver is too stupid to know not to run red lights or thy are too stupid to keep someone who routinely runs reds from driving their car. Failing either of these intelligence tests means you shouldn't be driving.

Agree with the stupidity. Funny how the talk of AZ has tickets that do not matter. Of all the places I have lived, Phx is by far the worse for people running reds and stop signs. If you do not pay close attention, you will get your car slammed sooner or later from some bonehead running a light or sign. It is crazy.

Once i was driving and i see a red light in front of me... So i slow down pretty fast. Then let off the brake pedal right on that marked line, then boomm flash, i was like AHHH, then 3 seconds after BOOMM one more... But my front was like 3 inches acrossed that line. That was 2-3 months ago. I dont think that they will give me a ticket (knocking on a wood) cause of that 3".
