Got quite a bit of unexpected money. Car ended up for free even though I had no idea funds were coming when I ordered the car back in Sept 22.
It's much more important to me that their quality of work is excellent.
What good is PPF if it looks like crap? I've seen their videos whereby they completely redid a $200k Porsche that the owner was dissatisfied with the previous PPF work done by another detailer. Guy was so happy, they ended up doing his other two 911's. And they were GT3’s.
When I picked up my car yesterday, he was working on what I believe was a Ferrari SF90 and Roma. Full PPF.
I feel good choosing this guy to work on my work since the owners of these cars chose him as well. So far, every time I have been in this guy's shop, my car has been the cheapest by a wide margin.

I just got a quote for 3M Pro Series or XPEL Ultimate Plus, full car for $6k or full front for $1700.

Crazy how it jumps to $6k for the whole thing.

I am not familiar with the 3M products but Xpel has a few different types of PPF, which one was it?

MN may be a little more expensive than Florida because there might be fewer shops in your area but negotiate. For $6,000 tell the shop to throw in a few coats of ceramic on top of the PPF. Ceramic isn't very expensive when applied to PPF so don't let them tell you otherwise.

Also have you done your homework and researched the reviews for this shop?

Yeah the shop has good reviews and recommendations from others on the forum here. Looks like they are well known around these parts. I'll ask to see if they can toss some ceramic. They quoted me $1k separately for ceramic, though I did not ask about it all being bundled/special pricing. Thanks

I have full STEK Dynoshield PPF on my whole car, including rim edges.car. It is the best thing i've done. Love it!
I always wash my car with ceramic schampo which adds up to the PPF hydrphobic top coat and makes the car look absolutely great and the car is so easy to wash. Even the rims are very easy to keep clean and spotless. very satisfyed!

So it’s just about $2500 in materials to do an entire M5. It took my guy roughly 50 hours of straight work to complete mine. Since you seem to set the prices for what these things should cost what do you suggest the business owner should charge for the service?

Full PPF plus ceramic is being quoted anywhere between $5500 and $6500 here in South Florida. I don’t believe any of these shops are losing money on their quotes.

South Florida is notorious for doing all kinds of different labor jobs on the cheap. It happens in the trades, especially like electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning. I have gotten quotes for PPF in places like Maine, New York, Maryland, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. All of them, all of them are anywhere from $7500-$12,000. More than $12,000 for very complicated cars like super cars. So either every freaking one of these shops is absolutely ripping off their clients all throughout the East Coast or somethings missing in the South Florida shops. What do you think it is? How can one shop be $5500 and another one to be $11,000 for the same car?

I honestly don't know the answer but I shopped around and did my homework when I did my car and visited several Xpel shops from North Miami, to Ft. Lauderdale area and at that time they all were in the $5,000- $6,000 range. The shop I finally selected and did my Xpel Ultimate Plus and ceramic work a year and a half ago only charged me $5,000 (I have a soft top). My friend just had his new M3 Competition done there (also with Xpel Ultimate Plus) for $5500. The owner has a great reputation and on any given day you can walk in and see a Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, Bentley, etc. in his shop. I am sure that he charges a great deal more money for those expensive cars.

My M340i full PPF in Naples was around $7400. Minimum price for a full PPF is $5995 depending on size and model of car. I also did Ceramic Coating on the Wheels as well as Tinted Windows. Those were extra.

Prices are in USD.

Maybe in southern Spain the price is different than in the US. I was not expecting that much difference.
As a fellow Spaniard, prices in Spain are nothing like the US.

For the US, 4500 is really cheap. For Spain, I find that quite expensive.

Speaking of PPF, did everybody's quote also include PPF of the grill? I ask because initially, my guy stated he would not include that because he's had some issues with PPF staying on the grill based on its design and angles.

I told him I really like to see him try. He did and so far I haven't had any issues with it. I'm glad that it's protected like the rest of the car.

I thought it might be worth bringing up because it may certainly add some man-hours/cost on their part to get that added.

I asked my PPF shop if they would do it. They said they would, but honestly the cost of a new pair of grilles was almost the same as PPFing them. They ceramic coated them and left them un-ppf'd. It's probably one of the only parts on my car that are not PPF'd.

Every square inch of my car got PPF and ceramic coated . I did stealth on the paint and clear PPF on all the carbon fiber pieces, including the roof. He even Ceramic Coated, my engine bay, which is all carbon fiber.

Hola, what part of Spain do you live at? I live in the southern coast between Sevilla and Malaga. I only found 2 shops with great reviews and experience. One work with Stek (Sevilla) the other in Marbella works with Xpel. Both gave me a similar quote.

I decided to use the one in Sevilla, he is including covering the carbon buckets and inside carbon.

OP, the prices you were quoted seem reasonable and even favorable relative to US pricing. I understand full PPF is en vogue but I suggest skipping it and going front clip + rockers.
