It’s always a debatable topic, though I prefer the ppf on frozen color. My only issue with ppf is I am going to return the car anyways after 3-4 years till the next model comes up, so what’s the point of paying the extra money! It’s just me. Though congrats for the ride, my favorite out of the newer models, still waiting for my allocation!!

Do you mind snapping 2 pics and sharing

How tight the film comes up the bumper edge where it meets the headlight

Top Inside Corner of the Bumper where they need to make a relief cut

Are the side reflectors PDF’s too? They still look gloss, but it could be that that plastic material just looks different.

And on cost were you about break even between BMW frozen paint vs the cost of the PPF?
I have the same question. I bought a frozen black G83 and the upkeep is crazy. The paint is ultras sensitive and debating whether to PPF it or just touch it up before I sell it.

Sick ride. I wish I had gone with that color option as well on my X5M I just ordered. It's going to cost me 10K to do full car stealth ppf. Sick ride bro, enjoy!

Can anyone do a solid and photoshop those bronze wheels on this beauty. I am considering the same wrap for my mineral gray and would love to see how bronze wheels will look.

Unfortunately my photoshop skills are just about as good as my golf game. 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

Very cool looking except for the LED strip thing around the grills, ruins the stealth look for me.
Hope you enjoy your vehicle and have many many safe trips.

Lovely job. Congrats!

I have a G90 in Sophisto Grey which has ‘Sun Protection Glass’ (SPG) from B pillar.

You appear to have very uniform tint. Did you get a lighter tint in the rear and, if so which tints did you use? Perhaps your G99 did not have SPG optioned?

Also, did you exclude the roof to get the PPF cost down?

I didn’t have the option for privacy glass here in Canada so to avoid the fish bowl look lol I had a uniform tint for the whole side front and rear windows at 35% and the rear hatch glass is 20%
I did not have ppf on the panoramic roof glass as it is not a fragile area and in oem deep frozen grey it is a gloss glass panel but everything else was ppf’d but with gloss film ( roof rails / black parts on the roof as well as front and rear gloss black parts )

The North American spec cars (sedan or Touring) do not have the rear privacy glass.

Looks nice.

But why you gonna let them put your rear/boot M5 logo back on all crooked like that??

Not only is it crooked, but it needs to be a bit more to the right/outer edge. Obviously your wrap shop just 'eyeballed it', but maybe you can go back to the dealer to take a proper measurement of the placement via a different M5.

It is like that from factory (aligned with the top line). Different boot, a bit different placement. Look a the badge here: https://static0.carbuzzimages.com/wo...ng-rear-01.jpg or https://bimmerlife.com/wp-content/up...VAN-HOFTEN.jpg
