That color is stunning with the stealth wrap! It blends nicely with all the gloss black bits and its got some great depth. Sweet ride!!!! I have 2 years left on my m340i and then I am going to do my part and buy a mega tourer. . . Still interested to see what audi does with the next RS generation too and I've got a little time. Big deciding factor for me is what both companies do with the virtual cockpit stuff and the 3d pano view everything (I would buy the car that has more buttons and less screens haha). A lot can happen in 2 years!

Isn't "still" a little harsh after only one month?

The dgm looks great w that stealth ppf. Grats on a beautiful ride and good call for pulling trigger on the stealth.

Man, I am in the US, where G99’s seem to be arriving slower than up in Canada. Hoping for early summer arrival. I am in no big rush though, which is nice. Very happy with my G80 that I’ll be trading in. I have considered doing the same thing as you regarding color (metallic with full matte PPF). Ended up just going frozen dark grey and will ppf the front / call it a day. Winters aren’t nearly as harsh down here in Texas

What’s the perfect Porsche to compliment the M5?
Congrats on still enjoying the car haha. Love the review. Especially when you haven’t been going ham cause the weather is sketch I imagine it will be even better come spring/summer. |

What do you mean “you are still in love after one month”!!
I used to have a F90 M5 for 4 years, I almost cried when I sold it. Sir, You are driving one of the best, if not the best car on the road. |

Given the turnover rate of your Winter family cars... I'd say this car will last about one year, 18 months top.

Good for you , have only see one M5 touring in Montreal and that was from Ontario . As a fellow Montrealer hats off to driving the M5 in winter . I get frustrated with the salt and snow on my X3 m40i . We are definitely not in California .

Looks good and great garage. Personally, I'd think carefully about 22" wheels. Looks are subjective (I personally dislike huge wheels with rubber band tires), but objectively the ride and handling will suffer.
Heavy cars really struggle with oversized wheels. The only cars that can really pull it off use air suspension and other advanced chassis/suspension. The G9X's traditional suspension is why it lacks to ride/handling balance of other cars in the class. Going bigger will just exacerbate that. |

I'm struggling with what to get as next daily driver. Currently a '17 Macan GTS with a 718 spyder for the weekends. My shortlist is: - New Macan GTS - Taycan cross turismo, probably used 4S or Turbo (new gen once some used ones pop up) - M5 Wagon - RS5 wagon (if it comes to the states). |

Pros Best handling car by far ! Very stable / suspension calibration perfect balance between comfort and agility / feeling at the wheel was at the level of my 992 carrera s ! Braking without any dive Cons Full EV so even with the biggest battery at that time (2022) and with the very cold winters here in Canada dropped to 250km (around 150 miles) so not enough to fit my lifestyle ! Trunk is quite smaller than the other cars size ranking from biggest to smallest is RS6/M5/macan/taycan st Value dropped like crazy ! 2) 2024 Macan gts (ICE) Pros Shortest wheelbase so good agility but more body roll as it’s a suv Very simple nd straightforward car Cons Engine sound not the greatest Dated platform / driver interface / screen size Too common 3) M5 Touring Pros Interior design and tech several generation vive Porsche’s Torque down low of the taycan and revs high like the Macan so never tapers off like the taycan Looks the most modern and aggressive ! Suspension and overall comfort Cons Feels big ! Not heavy just huge not easy to sense its limit Fake sound from speakers or no sound at all from insane of the V8 Settings are complex ! RWS doesn’t feel natural like the rear end is loose |
