I like seeing the cars in development, because then we can see which vents are actually functionial, and if they have fake exhaust tip too, like Audi 😝

I think we are going to see a shift a fast shift soon in the auto industry with solid state battery approaching fast we are going to see a lot of models be "abandoned" quite fast, we are in an era of cars that never made it to fruition like we sometimes today go back in time and see models that never came due to some big shift in the industry i think we are at that point now, then it will calm down until the next big thing arrives.

BMW so far is doing great in the shift they are offering options to all its type of customers i think. The older ones the newer ones and some in the middle who are uncertain still.

Well played BMW well played.

The M3 Neue Klasse looked good but this still looks like a bulbous bus, even with the camo.

Unifying design language all across the portfolio I believe.

The current one G90/G99 (well one which was released 5 days ago) - looks just great to me.

The BMW G90 M5 formula has stayed consistent over its many generations: it's the hottest version of the 5-series sedan, packing extra firepower and an upgraded chassis plus a meaner-looking body meant to communicate its performance potential.

Not really, no. With all of this heavy camo, the lines could be anywhere.

So I was planning on waiting till the LCI to order a new M5. I hate buying a vehicle and then it being dated with a new refresh right after I get it. I'm about 2 years in to my current vehicle (2023 Ford Raptor) and wanted to get a few more years out of the Raptor and hopefully keep it and pick up a G90 M5 to go with it. I was hoping giving it a year or two and we would see if there was a competition trim added, return of full leather etc.

But one thing I see mentioned in this thread is the panoramic display. is this for sure coming in the LCI? I don't know if I love it. I normally like tech upgrades, but I hate the look of a big iPad type screen in the middle of the dash and no instrument cluster in front of the driver. I think it looks cheesy and cheap on the Tesla Model 3. I would hope BMW could execute it better than Tesla, But I don't know if I'll love it. Is this a likely item in the LCI?

I would bet on it. As per BMW's own documents: "From late 2025 it will make its way into all new BMW models, irrespective of drive system type. The intelligent software behind the new BMW Panoramic iDrive is the BMW Operating System X."

So yep, being that the LCI is rumored to be in 2-3 years from now I would absolutely bet on it.

Seems really quick to be showing images of the LCI. I wonder why BMW decided to offer this information now. Is this typical?

I can deal with the panoramic display, might even like it. However that tacked on iPad is a hard no for me. I'm out on that. It does not look premium at all. It's happening on all models unfortunately.

I'll wait to pass judgement until the camo comes off but the current one is perfect IMO.

yep still has the hump back look from rear glass over the trunk section.
also seems to keep that lower lip that looks like bubba gump.

the NK looks much better in the 3 series.

I like the pano, but the iPad needs to go. I would rather see it below the dash, joining the console like the Lucid 2nd screen.
