I love his approach on cars, all of the reviews talk about how much hp and torque, how the car handles but no one talks about the small things.

In some respects, when you look at it in that light, yeah it could be considered disappointing. Not to ME, in any respect, but I get how some might view it that way. But the car demands to be driven in order to really give it a fair shake, and I feel a fair number of those naysayers might just change their mind if they actually do get a chance to.

As far as his review style goes, I had to force myself to sit through the whole thing and found myself cringing so many times (and I clearly am interested in this car review more than others). It's indicative of YouTubers as a whole: gotta differentiate yourself, for good or ill. Even if they hate you, at least they're clicking.
The way I look at it’s a newer F90 as arguably it’s as fast or faster. Who wouldn’t wont a newer f90 with better tech minus the useless features like massage and soft close which I never used, not to mention, tell me one person who actually enjoyed massage lol.

It’s not just you. He’s putting on a character. I’ve heard him in a few long-form podcasts and he’s much closer to a normal dude in that format

I commented on the video and asked Doug if they took his family and had him at gun point behind the cameras… just blink 3 times slowly buddy 😆

Nah but seriously he was so minimally critical and it felt like he didn’t go as in depth as usual. Maybe he’s getting a fat check from BMW and if so, good for him 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not saying the car is super terrible just felt like one he would have laid into a bit more ya know?

Different people, with different views. I much rather find this stuff in my own when I am playing with the car.

No way, that’s rare to hear. They were a good flex, kinda like the gesture control for me

Soft close is something I became very used to. On the other hand the massage is a bit of faff to get it to work decently. My M5 F90 does not have it, but I had Bimmers with it, and it was alright.

I do enjoy the ventilated seats, the comfort access in the back, and some other features that apparently will be not available on the G90's here. The G90 is pretty well optioned out though, I would have just preferred materials to be slightly better in comparison to the F90.

Where are you based? No ventilated seats?

Ventilated seats is such a big thing for me, and while I know the ones in the G90 aren't at GM level (those things literally freeze your ass), I hear they are substantially improved over all previous offerings by BMW.

Brazil gets very weird options. For example in the E60 M5 we had full multicontour seats with massage, ventilation and everything. Then the F10 did not even have seat heating. The F90 came with seat heating, then the LCi with heated and ventilated seats. The G90 according to the info I have won't have ventilated seats here.

I do not watch this guy. He’s always over-exaggerating with frantic gestures and pompous, loud words, trying way too hard to be engaging. In reality, he’s so annoying that I’ve realized he actually disturbs my inner peace...

Doug DeWierdo - he finally got tired of scraping his “bare” knees on the tarmac. I’ll give his G90 review about 30 seconds to see if I can tolerate the remainder. He did cash out though - good for him “cars and bids” got him paid.

Ughhhhh....
Another carefully curated and edited video where we are being asked indirectly for our non biased input in the direction of fully supporting the reviewer financially...
Enough!

I just think Doug likes the G series BMW’s. His comments towards the g87 M2 have a similar favorability. It’s actually something that pushed me to more seriously consider the G87 and ultimately got me over the hurdle and to actually buy one.

Only 1 pt behind the RS6 Avant, and the Avant scored 3 pts higher for practicality. I’m thinking the Touring would have set the bar for the category for ol Dougie.
